A full line of cotton fiber mounted points that come in a wide variety of small shapes and sizes for the repair and maintenance of molds, tools, and dies is available from Rex-Cut Products, Inc. of Fall River, Massachusetts.

Rex-Cut® Mounted Points are made with multiple layers of non-woven cotton fiber and either aluminum oxide or silicon carbide abrasive grains that are pressed and bonded into barrel, bullet, and round shapes. Providing smooth, controlled grinding action by constantly revealing fresh abrasives, they come in many small shapes and sizes for reaching deep into cavities.

Available with a choice of grit sizes and hard (MTX) or soft (GFX) bonds, Rex-Cut® Mounted Points are suitable applications requiring minimal metal removal or light cleaning and finishing. An 80 grit GFX leaves a 16-20 RMS finish on stainless steel. Custom shapes, sizes, and spindle lengths can be supplied to meet special customer mold, tool, and die requirements.
